Woodstone Research & Consulting

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Woodstone Research & Consulting ("we", "us", "our") operates woodstoneresearch.com. This policy describes how we handle personal data when you use our website or purchase a report.

Information We Collect

  • Name, email address, and company name provided at checkout or via the contact form
  • Marketing contact preferences and limited email-delivery information, such as unsubscribe requests, failed recipient addresses, mail-server status codes, bounded subject metadata, and send-time campaign, list, sender, provider, recipient, and rendered-subject records needed for reliable delivery history
  • Payment information processed securely by our payment provider (we do not store card details)
  • Standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited)

How We Use It

  • To process and fulfill your report order
  • To send you your purchased report and order confirmations
  • To respond to inquiries submitted via the contact form
  • To honor unsubscribe requests, avoid repeatedly sending to addresses reported as permanently undeliverable, and protect email-system reliability
  • To improve the website and catalog

Data Sharing

We share your order details (name, email, company, report ordered) with our research partner for fulfillment purposes only. When you consent to analytics cookies (see "Cookies and Analytics" below), Google receives the behavioral and order information described there so it can process it as our analytics provider. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies required for the website to function (for example, keeping your shopping cart and your cookie preference itself). We do not use advertising cookies.

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site. When you accept, Google Analytics may set cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and receive:

  • Pages viewed, navigation, on-page scrolling, and outbound/file-download link clicks
  • Ecommerce and lead events — for example viewing a report, requesting a sample, enquiring before purchase, adding a report to your cart, starting checkout, and completing an order — including the report, its category, price, and (for a completed order) an order reference number
  • Device/browser category and, for a completed order, a Measurement Protocol identifier sent from our server once payment is verified, so the order can be attributed to your analytics session

We do not send Google Analytics your name, email address, phone number, postal address, payment details, or the free text you type into any form. A cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies before they are set, and you can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer. Rejecting, or not making a choice, means no analytics events are sent. Advertising features (such as Google Signals or ad personalization) are disabled in our configuration regardless of your analytics choice — we do not use Google Analytics for advertising.

Email Suppression Records

We keep list-specific unsubscribe preferences, global unsubscribe records, and email-suppression records, including the affected email address and limited audit information, for as long as needed to honor each preference or delivery block and preserve operational history. Unsubscribing from a mailing list applies to that list; choosing to unsubscribe from all WoodStoneResearch marketing communications creates a separate global preference. We do not use an incoming delivery notification's Spam or Junk folder location as evidence about where the original message was delivered.

For limited delivery diagnostics, we may temporarily retain the incoming notification subject and an original email subject when it is returned in a structured message or header part. For messages sent through our campaign system, we also retain bounded send-time recipient, subject, campaign, list, sender, provider, and non-content correlation metadata so delivery evidence can be matched without guessing. We do not retain raw returned message bodies for this processing, and subject metadata is not copied into suppression or analytics records.
